What stays on your phone

Your decks, notes, cards, study progress, streak and settings are stored only on your phone, in the app's private storage. We don't send them to any server.

If you uninstall the app or clear its data, all of it is deleted with it. Android may include it in your Google account backup, depending on how you've set that up.

AI decks

This is the only feature that uses the internet, and only if you activate it with an invitation code. To make it work, our server stores:

• the invitation code and your phone's access key, stored in a form that can't be read back (as a hash);
• a random identifier the app creates on your phone (not your number, email or advertising ID);
• the app version and the platform (Android);
• what you ask for (for example, "Irregular English verbs"), the level, the language and the generated deck, so you can recover it;
• how many decks of your code you have used.

This data is kept while your invitation code exists. We don't ask for your name, email or phone number, and please don't write personal data in your requests.

To generate the deck, the text you ask for is sent to an AI provider (DeepInfra), which processes it to create the cards. The Anclo server runs on Cloudflare.

What we don't do

• There are no accounts or logins.
• There are no ads or advertising trackers.
• We don't sell or share your data with anyone other than the providers above, and only so the app works.

Children

Anclo is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Deleting your data

To delete what is on your phone, uninstall the app. To delete what the AI decks server stores, email us at the address below with your invitation code and we will remove it.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will publish the new version on this page with its date.
